About Us
Grub’s Up is a social enterprise that encourages disadvantaged young people to learn essential catering skills and encourages healthy eating. This in turn raises their self-esteem, confidence and social skills. They also learn generic life-skills such as working in a team, multi-tasking, health and safety, and time management.
These young people will go out into Plymouth and the wider world and be much better prepared for the workplace, by offering themselves as well-prepared and well-rounded individuals. They will have learnt from the Grub's Up Crew the satisfaction gained from hard work and the importance of achieving one's potential.
Grub's Up Crew works immensely hard for these young people and all are totally committed to this enterprise. They not only train young people in catering skills, but by the Crew's own example, they learn to beacome independent, confident young adults with a drive to succeed in whatever career path they choose.
